Specialty coffee brew guide - aeropress

Aeropress

A simple brewing guide for a 1 person Aeropress.

We recommend:

60g coffee/1L water for regular coffee.

70g coffee/1L water for decaf coffee.

  1. Prepare your Aeropress: Place a paper filter in the filter holder and lock it into position. Place the Aeropress on top of a carafe or mug.

  2. Weigh and grind coffee: Boil the kettle. Grind 15 grams coffee to a medium grind size. Add the coffee to the Aeropress.

  3. Brew: Start the timer and pour 250mL of water (just off the boil) into the Aeropress. Stir thoroughly and position the piston ready to press.

  4. Press: After 1 minute, slowly press the coffee through the filter. Enjoy!

Adjustments:

  • If the coffee tastes bitter try a coarser grind and/or a shorter brew time.
  • If the coffee tastes sour try a finer grind and/or longer brew time.

Ready to brew? We think the Aeropress works great with all of our coffees, hopefully you do too!
