Cafetiere

A simple brewing guide for a 2 person Cafetiere.

We recommend:

60g coffee/1L water for regular coffee.

70g coffee/1L water for decaf coffee.

  1. Weigh and grind coffee: Boil the kettle. Grind 30 grams coffee to a medium-coarse grind size and add to the cafetiere.

  2. Brew: Start the timer and pour 500 mL water (just off the boil) into the cafetiere. Thoroughly stir the coffee.

  3. Plunge and pour: After 4 minutes plunge the cafetiere and pour the coffee. Enjoy!

Adjustments:

  • If the coffee tastes bitter, try a coarser grind.
  • If the coffee tastes sour, try a finer grind.
