A simple way to estimate how much caffeine is in your cup.

Why caffeine moderation?

Drinking coffee comes with a lot of health benefits - but the negative impact of caffeine can limit its enjoyment. Disrupted sleep, an irritated gut and feelings of anxiety are common complaints when it comes to caffeine. Our Lo Caf coffees offer a way to moderate your caffeine consumption while enjoying a unique coffee tasting experience.

We don’t guess caffeine - we test it.

Most coffee brands estimate caffeine content.

We measure it using lab testing (HPLC), so you know exactly what you’re drinking.

Start your calmer coffee ritual today.

If caffeine negatively affects your sleep focus or how you feel, this is where to begin.

Try two naturally lower-caffeine coffees, and find the right caffeine level for you.

COFFEE #1

BRAZIL Daterra TB13

Caffeine content: 0.52% by weight in the raw green coffee (compared to approx. 1.5% in regular Arabica).

Daterra have spent over a decade perfecting Laurina, one of coffee's most challenging varieties to grow - this TB13 micro lot is a fine expression of that work.

Producer: Daterra

Variety: Laurina

Process: Natural + Cryo Fermentation

Region: Cerrado

Elevation: 1150m

Laurina is well known for its challenging agronomy and this is highlighted by the long road Daterra have taken with the variety. Across more than a decade of trials, Daterra planted, observed, re-selected, and replanted different lineages. Persistence paid off and Laurina is now an established and unique part of their offering.

Laurina offers a distinctly different profile to the typical Brazilian coffee. Rather than the country’s classic chocolatey-nutty profile, Laurina coffees present floral and fruity notes, with a lighter more delicate body.

Your brew

The caffeine calculator

We've created a simple caffeine calculator to help you estimate the amount of caffeine in your brew. The caffeine content in your cup depends on three things: the caffeine in the coffee you start with, the dose you use, and the brew method.

The Caffeine Content

Lab tested for caffeine

We lab test the raw (green) coffee beans for caffeine content before roasting. Testing is conducted using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) – a widely used analytical technique for separating and quantifying compounds in food and drink.
